How boda riders are embracing battery power

In a bid to reduce carbon emissions in Uganda, some entrepreneurs have started selling electric boda bodas. These boda bodas have no engine, and operate with fully charged batteries that have a range of 80 kilometers. NTV’s Sudhir Byaruhanga met Obed Fred Sserunkuuma, who has ridden a gasoline boda boda for ten years, but has now acquired an electric boda boda, which he says is cost effective amid hiked fuel prices.
